In 1832, on the eve of leaving France to go to America, Chopin was by a coincidence introduced by his old friend Prince Antonin Radziwill to Baron James de Rothschild.  Overnight, Chopin received a mass of requests for piano lessons and he stayed in Paris.  Today, Baron Benjamin de Rothschild, Chairman of the LCF Rothschild Group, is the great-great-grandson of James.
