Icons of Europe This fleur-de-lys represents the aims of Icons of Europe asbl.  The fleur-de-lys figure has been used as an ornament or emblem by almost all civilisations of the old and new worlds.

The following multilateral organizations have expressed their support for Icons of Europe (e.g. through patronage, information or otherwise).

The flag of both the Council of Europe and the European Union.- Council of Europe, Strasbourg:  Inauguration of Icons of Europe asbl on 21 September 2002 under the auspices of the Secretary General of the Councill of Europe, Mr Walter Schwimmer.  Listing as a resource by the Cultural Policies Research and Development Unit.

- Central European Initiative (CEI),
the heads-of-government intergovernmental forum promoting regional initiatives in Central and Eastern Europe - 17 member states in 2000.   Icons of Europe is member of the CEInet Club and listed for cooperation opportunities on TB/HIV advocacy and resource mobilzation.

- European CommissionAt the request of Icons of Europe on 16 November 2003, the European Commission ensured that a EUR 2-million EU-funded Danone Institute childhood-obesity research project agreed to withdraw its acronym CHOPIN from all its public activities.

- The Stop TB Partnership, a partnership hosted by the World Health Organization.  Icons of Europe became an Organizational Partner on 28 July 2004 and will continue to develop initiatives to support the global fight against tuberculosis.

- United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO):  Listing an non-governmental organization in the Window to Culture / Culture and Development section.

- World Health Organization (WHO):  information to support the Chopin / tuberculosis-related initiative of Icons of Europe.
